The Coalition proposes the establishment of one large Western Montana Local Calling Region, which would include the existing CenturyTel Valley-Wide calling Region, the proposed Qwest/Blackfoot Missoula EAS Region, and the exchanges between, Ronan, Pablo, and Hot Springs. 

• Proposal would fully satisfy the calling needs of Lake County and Flathead Reservation while also meeting the needs of communities in the rest of the region.
  
• Involves a significant increase in local telephone rates, but increase would be more than offset for most people by decreased long distance charges and allow flexibility plus convenience in utilizing unlimited calling within the region for a flat fee.
  
• Help unify and enhance the overall economy of Western Montana by making communication by telephone more affordable and more flexible.
